Our Products

Foshizi's products are made using traditional skills:  beading, moulding, sewing.  The beads may be made from paper as well as glass,  the traditional fabrics are used for children's sundresses, bowls are made from can labels and paper mache.  The results are fun and unusual.

Our children's dresses are made from the original Three Cats ShweShwe fabric.  It is manufactured using copper rollers which etch the distinctive white designs onto 100% cotton fabric.  The fabric can be easily identified by its intricate prints and beautiful panels.  The dresses come in three colors indigo, scarlet, and brown and are all hand-smocked.  The smocking incorporates beads into the smocking design - no two are alike.  The dresses come in a range of sizes 1 -2 yrs, 3 -4 yrs, 5 -6 yrs.

Bowls and tea-light holders are made by paper mache - either creating opaque holders for candles or bowls using brilliant colors to brighten up your table.

Bags are made from bottle tops and from plastic bags creating unusual bags that are fashioned from 'found' objects.   Traditional beading is used to create purses for cell-phones lipstick that fit neatly over your shoulder.  Beads are also made from paper mache creating contemporary styled bracelets.
